SO in high school i was on a varsity team, & in gr.11 I was talking with a girl who was a year older, and was talking about prom &how she was bringing her new bf who she met on grad trip & had just started dating

For context, “grad trip” was like a vacation that all the grade 12s would take over spring break together with a bunch of different schools from my city & mix the public & private schools (a major shit show, but fun af)

So after practice, I go to class and tell my best friend the story, and I’m just straight up like “I can do that, I’m gonna do that”

So fast forward a year later, a million hiccups happened, the ppl I was supposed to go on my grad trip with cancelled, but I end up going on a trip with my best friend to Mexico as our own little “grad trip”

so our vaca is almost over & I haven’t met any guys and tbh I pretty much forgot that I wanted to meet someone & date them eventually bc I was literally just drunk on the beach all day living my best life

but then on the 3rd last day, I meet a guy who was hot, my age & from my city & so one night stand LOL & then the next day proceeded to tell my friend “well that was fun but I will literally never see him again”

****had a 1 night stand HAHAH oops

But JK because the next week, we’re back home and he invites me on a date to a basketball game. & then we went to prom together & we’ve been dating for 3 years now :)
