It never ceases to amaze me how scared some people are of admitting they& #39;re white.

Whiteness is totalizing, surely, but one of the keys to dismantling whiteness is to recognize the contours and diversity within it so *no one* fades to the back as whiteness allows.

We all have multiple identity markers. Yes, it is a privilege of white Jews to be able to pick Jewishness as their preferred one.

And G-d help us if the Jewish H*rper& #39;s L*tter, Chabad, and N*wZionists are the way forward...

And if there is *any* doubt about what all of this means, with references to "elite private schools, flagship public schools, and elite universities," it *DOES* mean, as @rweingarten has mentioned, that some Jews are more than happy to pull that ladder up after themselves.
