To me, this is the photo that makes the incident no longer cut and dry, from either side.

If you’re an officer responding to a knife attack and you see this, shooting her is reasonable, no question.

The problem is apparently Bryant was responding in self-defense and seemingly gained the upper hand by the time the police arrived, so it’s likely she was the original victim.

Either way, framing this incident as another in a long line of black people dying unjustly at the hands of white cops is not a great idea, when the body cam shows the shooting as reasonable, if not justified.
