Kashmir has an unaddressed 'addiction' epidemic.
Dont be oblivious to it. We're way past that stage.

Last night a group of people from sopore came with their 26 year old son who had overdosed over morphine. On questioning they mentioned he had been in rehab for a while(1/n)
but had been to Gulmarg with his friends the night before. I stood up and examined him only to find out that he was brought dead. No pulse and non reactive pupils. I didn't know how to break it to them. He was their only son. When I finally managed to sum up the courage (2/n)
to say 'Yi haez chu guzroymut', both his parents collapsed on the ground. The father had a syncopal attack and the mothers fate was indescribable. They had spent all wealth to get him into rehab but just one 'friendly trip' to Gulmarg snatched the universe away from them. (3/n)
What you should take away from this is that we have a huge drug control problem which is killing young people while we keep sweeping it under the carpet. Extremely dangerous, potentially fatal addictive drugs are being sold and bought in the market.
Also Gulmarg has become the hub of all vices. It harbors shamelessness of all respects ranging from alochol to fornication under green screen of 'aesi karo trip Gulmarg trip'.
