2020. What a year.
It was the year I was so grateful to be featured on the 2020 Women in Software Power List and 2020 #TechWomen100
I taught two 8-week Python classes with @CodeFirstGirls and mentored some amazing people

Created workshops with my friends

The global pandemic hit and it was tough for everyone. I grew anxious about everything; though fortunate to have a full life and a job. I cannot imagine what it must be like working in health services. Thank you to everyone for helping us and giving up your time and your lives
Throughout 2020, outside of my job and volunteering work, I grew out of touch with tech and lost my spark. I shut down social media and stopped creating content. I started to question whether my work actually had a purpose, whether it fit my values.
I stopped feeling guilty about doing nothing and just enjoyed things as they are. Iâm grateful to connect virtually with my family. All too long, I was ambitious and just focused too much on my career. I was tired. By taking a break, I realised I was a lot happier :)
Coming into 2021, Iâm going to do things as and when they come. I canât predict the future, but I can learn and focus on the things that bring me joy and shift out the noise! Itâs a noisy world and itâs hard to find a voice in it sometimes. Have a chilled New Year all!
