The #FlushingRezoning would provide the applicants $500 million worth of development capacity without providing any affordable housing units for local families who are predominantly immigrants and nonwhite.

The developer’s more modest estimates imply $200 million in benefits.
The City and developers point to job creation in the #FlushingRezoning.

But at what cost? Based on estimates of the development benefits, those jobs would be more costly than Amazon’s HQ2 proposal in LIC.
