KEY MESSAGES thread
Promoting behaviour change is a central goal of #regulation, especially during #Covid_19 where rapid & widespread changes are needed to contain & mitigate the virus#behaviouralinsights approaches are needed to identify & remove barriers to motivate these actions
Behavioural expertise for government #Policy is available around the world. However, many experts facing difficulties integrating #behaviouralinsights into their government's #Covid_19 response. 4 regulatory governance challenges identified:

Role clarity: Behavioural expertise is located across governments in many different forms & structures, including through external advice.
May lead to a misalignment between #Covid_19 decision-making structures & #behavioualinsights expertise, needing improved coordination

Lots of promise! Cases collected from 9 countries & discussions via the International #Covid_19 #Behaviouralinsights & #Policy Group demonstrate BI units are making positive impacts on the crisis response.Hope for future applications, including medium & long term effects!
