One year ago I sent out this tweet asking for advice from my peers here on Twitter.

There is a lot of background behind the plea for help but to briefly sum it up: There were some unforeseen events that week that made it one of the hardest weeks of my life.

The amount of responses I received from the tweet blew me away. I was humbled that so many of you took time to share your experience and wisdom with me.

With every response my confidence grew in the direction I should take.

I also received private messages letting me know I can talk to them personally about my decision at any time along with encouragement.

One message stuck out to me from @KJSAcct. Karl said he knew what I was going through and would be open for a phone call that afternoon.

So what else do you do when you& #39;ve (seemingly) hit rock bottom? Give a random person on the internet your phone number!

Karl called me up and opened up about his past experiences that were miraculously similar to what I was going through in that moment.

There was so much wisdom in what Karl was telling me, I couldn& #39;t believe what I was hearing...

So much so I ran downstairs and put Karl on speaker so my wife could hear it. Everything said was exactly what I needed to hear and I was given clear instructions with how to help make my decision final.

Then Karl ended the call by praying for me.

It was a rough week for me emotionally and hearing Karl& #39;s prayer felt as if God was giving me a comforting embrace letting me know that he& #39;s got my back.

I cried that day. A lot. But they were happy tears.

So this tweet is to everyone that helped push me to get on the path that I am on right now.

I can& #39;t thank y& #39;all enough and how much I appreciate every one of your responses from one year ago.

And thank you, Karl, for calling a random stranger on Twitter and changing my life.
