The Dallas Empire had a 58% retake win rate on Gun Runner

which was the best win % on any map by any team (min. 10 plants given up)

For reference, the retake win % across all plants in the 2020 season (1:30 SND) was just 32%.

Empire did a great job of taking out the bomb carrier as soon as they planted.

This would usually give Dallas the man advantage, or remove the advantage which was present before the pre-plant, thus making it easier for them to retake.

Shotzzy was often alive for the majority of these retakes, and usually still had his smoke grenade in the back pocket ready to smoke the bomb.

This created uncertainty and forced the enemy out of their post-plant positions.

Whether or not Empire went straight for the ninja defuse depended on how many players were still alive, and who they were up against

When they did stick the defuse, Shotzzy usually had a part to play in securing the round win.

This is an example of a round where Dallas don& #39;t have a smoke to work with.

Without it they are forced to search for the gunfights, rather than letting the smoke bait an opponent into making a mistake.
