My early life was like this. I did not know what on earth was going on. Time leaping around. Into this situation. Then that. No explanation. #survivortough

Rumsfeld also said: “There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we now know we don& #39;t know.”

I think that is dissociation. Knowing that a piece of conscious experience was lost, or stolen. Naming it – was huge for me. #survivortough

Knowing that I had dissociated, meant being able to predict when I might dissociate. What circumstance. What behavior from an abuser. That enabled me, as a 4 year old, to finally ‘catch’ my father doing something to me he should not have been. #survivortough
