While I& #39;m at it--Trace Complete& #39;s entire raison d& #39;etre is to raise the bar for FGC production. I feel like we& #39;re doing a good job of getting there.
Starting to need some help though, and not just with on-mic talent. Not a lot, and it& #39;s light work, but some.
(Thread--please RT?)

TO BE CLEAR: at the moment, precisely nobody (except @Shadow20z etc.) is making money off of TC events. I& #39;m like $2K in the hole during COVID. That& #39;s OK; I do this because I enjoy it. But I have to set expectations: this is all volunteer and largely community stuff right now.

There& #39;s a Patreon over at https://patreon.com/tracecomplete ">https://patreon.com/tracecomp... that might potentially become money in the future. I don& #39;t intend to take anything out of it personally; I have a day job. But as of now, there& #39;s no money in this. We do it for the community, to encourage the FGC to aim higher.

NEED THE FIRST: video editing. This is the first goal of the Patreon, tbh; video editing is a complex skill and I feel that people should be paid for what they do. That said: this is some entry-level video editing. Mostly cutting and filling in templates I& #39;ve already built.

NEED THE SECOND: day-of help. This takes a couple forms. @SyrusFGC has been bodied by work and so I& #39;m down a bracket-helper type to keep players who can& #39;t/won& #39;t read on the straight and narrow. I also need help running the 0-2 RRs that I& #39;d like to implement. Stuff like that.

NEED THE THIRD: Social media management. It is far past time that I push most of this tournament organization over to @tracecomplete instead of my personal Twitter account, and I don& #39;t always have the energy to do a good job of marketing out our events. I could use the help.

I& #39;m not blowing smoke when I say that I think the TC method of event production (and it is stuff that transfers to offline events, too) is a big part of the future of FGC event production. The FGC event scene is in a weird place right now, both because of COVID and ...

... because, as I have learned, events/projects are not able to consider alternatives right now for various reasons.
It won& #39;t stay like that forever, and for folks interested in the FGC long-term it might be real interesting to get in on the ground floor.
Just sayin& #39;.
