A year ago today in my first full @ManCityCouncil meeting we declared a Climate Emergency 🌎 I was particularly pleased as #Didsbury’s newest Councillor to bring a successful Amendment accelerating & strengthening our ambition 🗳
Since 2010 we have more than halved our emissions but there is much to be done over the next five years - our Climate Change Action Plan robustly sets out how we will halve emissions again with the support of @McrClimate, @TyndallCentre and stakeholders from across the city 🏙
Our flagship programmes continue despite #COVID19 and I couldn’t be prouder to call #Manchester home:
