m has been distancing himself for awhile and it can be largely reflected in their fashion choices starting in the YG era. 3/4 began experimenting with silk, button ups, suits, jackets, and pants.
these are just a few examples i found off hand from the 5sos3/beginning of YG era
we start to move into the MYT tour era and you see 3/4 really start to evolve while m stays the same
