Please share this thread far and wide. I am sharing info I have received regarding the black man who was found hanging from a tree this morning in Huntington, NY. This needs to be re-verified by appropriate authorities, but I think an independent investigation is necessary.
According to one person close to the situation, the scene was wrapped up in under 1 hour. Authorities decided it was a suicide. There is currently no crime scene there. 30 minutes later, someone found a security camera destroyed in a garbage can near the scene of the incident.
This needs to be fully investigated by police, there needs to be a statement on this. There have now been 7 people hanged in the past 4 weeks across the US. This requires more attention to ensure public safety.

I will continue to update as info comes in. This is all available at the moment. I want to be clear, this family absolutely deserves privacy and to have their wishes followed. The point is this requires close attention by our authorities beyond a one off statement.
