not saying someone’s politics can’t change (bc mine def has in the past 5 years) but i wonder if these viet ppl have even looked into the history of their own COUNTRY outside of the personal experiences of their family

it is just stressful to me that some of my peers are in their 20s+ and still haven’t examined why they exist in this country and why their family was displaced beyond it being traumatic. it is truly a disrespect to your ancestors and you imo
this is really just a me-specific rant bc most of my very few followers here are from college where there were <10 Viets any given time but. this is plaguing me and has to express it somewhere. also feel like is a phenomenon for lots of “immigrant” children
whose countries were destroyed by the US and also ppl whose families live here bc of the pain inflicted by the US. it’s all the same monster babie
