ive never played heartgold, only soulsilver, and there& #39;s actually some pretty major differences, so this& #39;ll be fun. ive never been to kanto in a johto game either, so that& #39;ll be a major goal
also i dont think ive ever beaten johto with anything resembling A Good Team? i played soulsilver partway through before having my copy stolen, then i beat it on a new copy using just a severely overleveled feraligatr
i think?? i mightve done a playthrough a few years ago?? but i dont remember it much and i think i stopped at lugia

oh god i forgot they lock your menu options until a certain point. i cant make my text speed bearable until the game lets me
real talk tho, apart from locking away options at the start, i really loved the hgss menus. it was so convenient being able to tap the menu you want to open on the touchscreen at any time, rather than having to open a separate menu first
