This week it’s all about starfish.

*Starfish have eyes on the end of their arms. So, if a starfish has 5 arms it will have 5 eyes. *Starfish have no blood. They use a water vascular system which distributes seawater through the body.

A starfish is not a fish. Starfish belong to the phylum Echinoderms which means spiny skin and are related to Sea Urchins. *Starfish can regenerate lost arms. Starfish are predated on and will sacrifice an arm to survive, which they will regrow within a few years.
