Today, I’ve decided to give you a peak inside a day in the life of a GIS Specialist leading the #COVID19 response here in the great state of Missouri. Get ready for the play by play.

We hold an internal GIS huddle of what has been done in the last 24 hours and what’s coming up the pipe. We use trello to track what’s going on (data updates, applications in production, etc.). Flu mapping day; yes we map the flu every week from CDC Week 40 2019 (October) - Week 20 2020 (May). We place the flu maps into a tabbed storymap that goes into a by week tabbed map.
