I& #39;m old, so I actually remember when no one was celebratory about Anzac Day. I& #39;m maintaining that same regretful feeling about it my whole life. Not sure where all these gung-ho buggers came from recently.

I still think most people have the regret foremost and the gung-ho buggers are the loudest. The Mike Hoskings of Anzac Day, so to speak.

Anyway I know that I& #39;m not the target audience but everyone& #39;s hectoring WAR IS TERRIBLE ACTUALLY ANZAC PEOPLE YOU ARE IDIOTS stuff on Twitter at around this time kinda of makes me grumpy. I fucking KNOW. WWI was a shit bloodbath. It was the WORST. Obviously.

Basically everything about the day makes me tired and sad.
