Am I the only one perpetually amused that "quashed" is the technical legal terminology in Australia?

(FTR, I& #39;m generally wary where bishops and abuse cases are concerned. But I am always grateful when justice errs on the side of protecting the innocent, regardless of whatever unsavory past the accused may have. Hence my default objection to the death penalty, etc).

(But this thread is about the word & #39;quashed& #39;, not about the merits of the case.)
