Bogus Excuse #2: Trump was distracted by Impeachment

Wrong. Trump played no role in impeachment and the trial ended February 5. To this day, Trump has done virtually nothing to combat or contain COVID-19 and Trump himself admitted his impeachment had no effect on his response.

Bogus Excuse #3: Trump didn’t know until April 1 that the virus can be spread by asymptomatic people or by breathing

Wrong.

Bogus Excuse #4: Trump banned travel from China and Dems called him a racist

Wrong. Trump banned foreigners who had spent time in https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇨🇳" title="Flag of China" aria-label="Emoji: Flag of China"> from traveling to https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇺🇸" title="Flag of United States" aria-label="Emoji: Flag of United States"> on 1/31, but didn’t ban https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🇺🇸" title="Flag of United States" aria-label="Emoji: Flag of United States"> citizens from such travel. Trump was called a xenophobe because ban only applied to foreigners.

Bogus Excuse #5: WHO tweeted January 14 no proof coronavirus was human-transmissible

True, but this was corrected early and does not excuse Trump’s inaction.
