Initial studies suggest it can survive on surfaces for at least a few hours, and may survive on plastic, glass and metal for several days. Although the survival length varies under different conditions (temperature, humidity and surface type)...

it is a good reminder to all Missourians to regularly clean and disinfect high-touch areas like doorknobs, handles and countertops.
