After reading this I am starting to fear for the characters in the novel I& #39;m writing. If true, this could be devastating- two thirds of my main characters are woman as well as the main mentor figure and the main character& #39;s idolized older sister!

It& #39;s a great thread with tropes that are too easy to into. Take a look and see if your story falls into these and why. The survival of the genre depends on us being better writers with more diverse characters and stories.
