As a financial adviser and personal investor my email address has ended up on many lists. I expect most emails sent to me don’t get through, but here’s one that did
So I’m going to dissect it here

Firstly, note the initial language. Opportunity, fastest growing etc
You can pretty much invest in anything at anytime, very little is an opportunity. They’re playing on a perception of missing out, FOMO as the kids call it. It’s a known behavioural bias

Next up, they ask; are you excited?
Excited? Over an investment? Now I love investments and investing, but they don’t excite me
@coldplay’s new album excites me, yes really.
My holiday plans excite me
Investments shouldn’t excite you

It’s a ‘one time opportunity’ there’s that FOMO again
Apparently it has ‘achieved growth of 582% over recent time’ but doesn’t say how long recent is
Either way, it sounds like you’re already late to this party to me

If it did, it would have been arbitraged away by smarter money, you and your random email from an old list are not smart money, and the sender knows it

It ends with describing a growing market.
Growing markets do not mean growing investment returns, ask railroad, airline and dotcom investors.

To wrap up, I haven’t mentioned The subject of this opportunity, which is Whisky, once.
I have no ideas of the prospects of Whisky investments
But I know that a low cost, highly diversified global portfolio of stocks and bonds is more likely to help you achieve your goals.

They are not there to serve you. They are there to serve whoever is selling the opportunity they are incentivised to overinflate
